This private cabin is located on 115 acres of riverfront property and is set off about 100' from the main house. It is furnished with one double bed, a set of bunk beds, a crib and two queen beds, a day bed, television, CD player/Stereo and chair. The smaller bedroom contains the twin-size bunkbeds and there is a double bed and twin size day bed in the second bedroom. This second bedroom also acts as the common room with TV and stereo in this room. The Master bedroom has 2 queen size beds with an adjoining full Bathroom. The other Bathroom has a spacious tiled shower with built in bench. Internet is also available. The cabin has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a full kitchen with refrigerator, microwave, stove, dishwasher, clothes washer and dryer, and all untensils and appliances. The den/bedroom has the tv along with a DVD player, stereo and crib.There is also a small 16' pool that is filled for summer months to cool off in. You have access to the San Antonio River, which is great for camping, hiking, or fishing. This is a site of some old Indian battles and arrowheads and other artifacts can still be found. Also has a dirt bike trail over two miles long which is fun for motorcycles, mountain bikes, and quads. There is a large 10 foot by 20 foot attached covered deck with room to stretch out and enjoy the breeze and great country view. Kids love to camp out on this great deck. No, we're not on the RiverWalk but we do have over a mile of San Antonio River frontage. Our home is located in the country away from city noises and congestion. However, we are only 15 minutes from the Riverwalk, Alamo Dome, The Alamo, SBC Center (Home of the San Antonio Spurs), Joe Freeman Coliseum and other exiting places and events in San Antonio. Sea World and Fiesta Texas are only 30 minutes away and Schlitterbaum, America's #1 Water Park is only an hour away. Although our river does not compare to the Comal or Guadalupe for tube floating, those locations are not too far away. So you can still go enjoy the tubing and the crowds and come "home" to peace and quiet and relax in the hot tub. We are situated on 110 acres with over a mile of San Antonio River frontage. Several nice areas have been cleared for fishing and/or swimming. Hiking and biking have been favorites for many who have stayed here. We are minutes from the Rodeo held in San Antonio every February. We have found many arrow heads and other Indian artifacts on our property. This is a large spacious home (4,200 square feet) with lots of open areas. We are on the San Antonio River and the wonderful newly renovated hike and bike trail that connect all the Missions. Skip rocks on the river, watch the sunset or curl up in our comfortable, charming home. With extensive grounds, nestled on 2 acres, we have a real 'getting away from it all' feel while still being conveniently located to all of San Antonio's best attractions -10 miles to The Alamo- 3 miles to grocery stores, restaurants, a movie theater and shopping! History: The main portion of the house was built 1890ish and then the rest was added in the late 20s. All the land to the south of the home used to be owned by the Southwells. It was a pecan orchard. The river portion to your west was cut in the late 50s in order to move water out if downtown more rapidly and prevent flooding. The river to the east is the original river remnant and has incredible bird life. You may also see coyotes and wild hogs on the river. It is rumored to have been a stagecoach stop and even a brothel. Our home is also steps from the Mission Reach bike and hiking trails which have wonderful views of natural wildlife. We can accommodate large groups traveling to create lasting memories. Spanish style home with courtyard in the center. Courtyard allows guests enjoy the feeling of being outdoors while being inside. Our place is a four bedroom, two and half bath home that accommodates 7 comfortably. The master suite has a large private bath with Jacuzzi tub for two, dual sinks, and a separate shower. The home has a large kitchen with an island and breakfast area. The family room is equipped with a 120" TV projection screen and surround sound. The Space The house is tastefully decorated and has room to comfortably fit 10 people. The house features an open floor plan and the kitchen comes stocked with plenty of pots and pans as well as dishes, silverware, and seating for 10. The living room features a 55inch 4K HD TV equipped with a Roku for streaming or live tv. Guest Access The house contains a fenced backyard as well as outdoor seating for 12. The house is set up for remote check in and check out and the contact with host will be limited. However, I'll gladly provide any recommendations for food or activities in San Antonio and am a short drive away if any issues arise. There is an efficiency in the back of the property that is currently vacant but will house a long term tenant in the future. Additionally, for your security there are outdoor security cameras in the front and back of the property.

My place is a 1950’s Ranch Style single story home located on the Southside of San Antonio. A very Historic side of town, close to the San Antonio River, Four out of the Five of the city's historic missions, Stinson Airport, Downtown Riverwalk and Hemisphere area. Local public bus transportation is close by to one of the main streets. I can guide you to many great Mexican food restaurants etc. This is my personal home that I share with you. Although we way not meet you will see my family's pictures around. You will enjoy my home with stained concrete floors with coastal/western feel. Remodeled bathroom and newly painted and refreshed bedroom with relaxing queen size bed with 800 count sheets. I have a work table for those on business travel and accessible electrical plug-ins. I do offer Internet. I have Basic TV with new 32inch SMART TV in bedroom. There is a 60inch TV in living room that feels like you are sitting on the 50 yard line for watching ballgames. For additional guests, there are two additional bedrooms with comfortable memory foam mattresses. An extra bathroom is just outside of these rooms and includes towels and toiletries. Many of the houses were built in the early 1900s. Our main house was build in 1913. Few homes are well kept and some are in need of TLC. It is slowly being revitalized. However if you are looking for a well manicured area, this is not the place. The people in the neighborhood are mostly locals who've lived here many years. San Antonio is a very family oriented city and this neighborhood is no different. We are close to the mission trail which follows the San Antonio River. It connects all five missions, and the closest mission to us is Mission Concepcion. You can find a bike rental at Mission Concepcion. Biking the mission trail is a wonderful way to experience San Antonio. Or you can live like a local and take a kayak down to the river! ****** ACCESS Heat up leftovers in the microwave or store snacks in the mini- fridge. Be aware that there is potential for noise. I have provided ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. They are located in the heart-shaped box on the TV stand. There are numerous dogs in the neighborhood, trains passing, and some neighbors play music in the evening. My husband leaves early each morning so you may hear his Forester when he warms it up. On a windy night you may hear the roof vent squeaking. 3. Our shed is located right behind your suite. You may see myself or my husband rummaging around if we are working on a project. We also enter the main house from the back. 4. You must park on the street. Parking on the street is free. Just be aware of the signs. Do not park in front of a driveway. 5. Our neighbor keeps his dog kenneled for most of the day. You may see him from the guesthouse. The dog is fed and watered and his area cleaned daily. If you find this upsetting, you may want to find other accommodations. 6. Many of the houses in our neighborhood were built in the early 1900s. Few homes are well kept and some are in need of TLC.
